Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 October 2026
These terms apply when you use PocketSizePDF at www.pocketsizepdf.com (the “service”), which is run by the PocketSizePDF team (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What the service is
PocketSizePDF offers these free tools for working with PDF files and images:
- Compress PDF — Make a PDF smaller by recompressing the images inside it.
- Merge PDF — Combine multiple PDF files into one document, in the order you choose.
- Split PDF — Extract pages or page ranges from a PDF into new files.
- JPG to PDF — Turn JPG, PNG or WebP images into a single PDF.
- PDF to JPG — Save every page of a PDF as a JPG image.
- Image Compressor — Compress JPG, PNG or WebP images to a target size in KB.
These tools run in your web browser: your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. Tools marked “Coming soon” are not available and are not part of the service until they launch. You do not need an account, and the tools are currently free to use.
We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time, for example to fix problems or add features.
2. Your files and your responsibilities
- Only process files that you own or have permission to use. You remain responsible for your files and for what you do with the results.
- Check every result before you rely on it, submit it or share it. Keep your original files: the tools create new files and never change your originals, but you should keep a copy of anything important.
- The exam and application size presets in the Image Compressor are common size ranges, not official requirements. Always confirm the size, dimensions and format in the official notice for your exam or application before you upload.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone else’s rights.
3. Limits of the tools
Because processing happens on your device, what the tools can handle depends on your browser and the memory available on your device. Very large files or very long documents may be slow or may not complete. Some files cannot be processed, including password-protected PDFs, PDFs with editing restrictions and damaged files. Some PDF features, such as bookmarks and fillable form fields, may not be kept in files created by Merge PDF or Split PDF. Each tool page explains its main limits.
4. Acceptable use
Do not interfere with or disrupt the service, try to overload it, or use automated means to access it in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
5. Ownership
Your files and the results you create belong to you; we claim no rights in them, and we never receive them. The PocketSizePDF name, website design and code belong to the PocketSizePDF team. The tools also use open-source software, such as pdf-lib, PDF.js and fflate, which is provided under its own licences.
6. No warranty
The service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that results will meet any particular requirement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data, or any consequence of relying on a result. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use the service.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated terms apply.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
