How does target-size compression work?
We try several quality levels to find the highest quality that fits under your target. If even the lowest sensible quality is too big, we reduce the image dimensions step by step until it fits.
Are the exam presets official requirements?
They are common size ranges for photo and signature uploads. Requirements change between notifications, so always confirm the size, dimensions and format in the official notice for your exam before you upload.
My image came out below the minimum size. What now?
Very small or simple images can be under the minimum even at top quality. Try a larger or more detailed scan, or increase the dimensions, then compress again.
Which output format should I use?
JPG is widely accepted by online forms and portals, but always check the requirements of the site you are submitting to. WebP gives smaller files at the same quality but is not accepted by every site.
